Amaka Chika-Mbonu is a Certified Counsellor with a special interest in couples counselling, a pre-marital counsellor, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and the founder of Amaka’s Book Club—a book club that reads books that deal solely with marriage and relationships. She also has over 25 years of experience as a pre-marital counsellor in a Christian church setting.

She is the author of six books, How To Get Your Wife To Swing From The Chandelier In A Red Negligée, 49 Ways To Get Rid of The Other Woman (without getting caught), Before, When & After, Where Did You Put Your Organ? Chronicles of Joy through Pain, Twelve and Two More, and her newest book, ‘…and BOOM Bobs your Uncle and For Real Fanny’s your Aunt.’ She has an eighth book currently in the works.

She carries keys of wisdom to unlock peoples minds and hearts through the power of her own testimony.
Amaka has spoken on diverse multiple speaking platforms locally and internationally and featured on radio and television programmes across the globe with one primary message and mantra, “Marriage takes work to make it work, so let’s get to work.”

She has been married for thirty-two years and has two adult children.
